Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Our commitment
Basswick wants everyone to be able to use this website. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and treat accessibility as part of design and code, not an overlay bolted on afterward.
What this site includes
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure on every page
- Full keyboard operability, a visible skip-to-content link, and clear focus indicators
- Color contrast chosen to meet AA ratios for text
- Reduced-motion support: all animation is disabled when your system requests reduced motion
- Alternative text and text descriptions for meaningful visuals, including our animated demonstrations
- Forms with visible labels, instructions, and screen-reader-announced error and success messages
- An optional, user-initiated “Listen” control in the top corner of every major page, a single button that plays, pauses, resumes, and replays the page content using your browser’s built-in speech engine. It never autoplays, sends no voice data anywhere, and is hidden automatically in browsers without speech support (screen readers such as NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack work independently of it).
- Buttons and form controls sized at least 44×44 pixels, all links meeting WCAG 2.2 target-size minimums, and mobile-first layouts down to 320px-wide screens
- No flashing content
Known limitations
- The animated hero background is decorative and hidden from assistive technology; a static version is shown under reduced motion.
- Some concept demonstrations are visual by nature; each carries a text description via its accessible label.
